Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 Episode 8

Episode eight of “Attack on Titan: The Final Season” airs this Sunday, Feb. 27.

This upcoming episode of part two will be available to stream on Funimation or Crunchyroll. These episodes will typically be available by 3 p.m. (ET).

Before we do, though, be forewarned that—although anime and manga Penn Live posts typically don’t get into the nitty-gritty of plots lest we spoil something for you—we may get a little more specific this time round.

So, the last time we watched the “Attack on Titan” crew in action, Eren was still in his sad boy, emo phase and doing a bunch of outrageous things to the people he used to be friends with.

This has all led to a huge blowout between Eren (in Attack Titan form) and Reiner (in Armored Titan form) in the city where it all began, as Marleyans and those on Paradis collide in an epic battle in what will probably very well be one an epic conclusion to one of the biggest animes on the planet.

But why is Eren doing what he’s doing, though? What made him this way? Or is he playing some sort of long game in the hopes of finally ending the vicious cycle of titans-versus-humans?

Also, let’s just take a moment to give a quick shoutout to that absolute banger of an opener.

Guess we’ll find out. For the full information breakdown on how to watch episode eight of “Attack on Titan: The Final Season” (which you can also watch on Hulu), please see the below:

Attack On Titan’s final season follows in the footsteps of Game of Thrones

TV shows and animes have impacted our daily life in a really big way. And each has its absolute bests, while Game of Thrones has had some really high-rated episodes in the past as a TV show, Attack On Titan broke all records in terms of rating and viewership, especially with its penultimate season. Both of them have become major pop culture icons.

Attack On Titan final season now, and its storyline looks like a major throwback to Game of Thrones Season 8.

Final season of Game of Thrones was met with a lot of criticism, Attack On Titan has managed to steer clear of that folly by carefully orchestrating the environment, mood, and enough of a backstory to make the transformation of a hero to villain somewhat more digestible. At the end of Attack on Titan’s 80th episode, “From You, 2,000 Years Ago,” and nine years since the show’s debut, the so-called savior Eren Yeager snaps and now plans to exterminate the vast majority of the human race by causing the great “rumbling”.

Sounds familiar, right? But unlike Game of Thrones, Attack On Titan goes into the past to explain why one of the show’s biggest heroes turned into one of the biggest villains. While we won’t spoil the story for you, we can tell you this for sure, it is equally as tragic as it is horrifying, and makes you sympathize with Eren Yeager, similar to how many fans do with Daenerys Targaryen (or would have if the show was more creative in sketching her downfall).

Attack On Titan Actor Reveals COVID Recovery

Attack On Titan only has a few episodes left before the second half of its fourth and final season comes to a close, and while the Scout Regiment has only been receiving bad news as a part of these last installments, the voice actor behind Jean has received the opposite.

Being diagnosed with COVID-19, it seems that voice actor Kisho Taniyama has completely recovered, according to his talent agency, and has already returned to work it bringing animated characters to life.

Jean from Attack On Titan is far from the only character that Kisho Taniyama has brought to life, with the voice actor portraying the likes of Nezu from Pokemon, Garashi from Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Kinzo from Blue Exorcist, Ending from My Hero Academia, and Yuya from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure to name a few. One of the biggest upcoming roles that Taniyama is taking on is the part of Dark Schneider in Netflix's upcoming original anime reboot of Bastard!!, with the original series considered to be one of the most brutal of the generation of manga series that dropped in the 1980s, which received an anime adaptation in the 1990s.

Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 8 Overview

What more is there left to be said about Attack On Titan? Even if you only consider yourself a casual anime fan, this show is probably one that you know about and watch avidly. It is an action and supernatural show based on the works of Hajime Isayama. It is known as Shingeki no Kyojin in original Japanese, and thus this half of the season is also called Shingeki no Kyojin Season 4 Part 2. You can also call it Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 or Shingeki no Kyojin Final Season Part 2 if you’d like.

This season is being animated by Studio MAPPA, a powerhouse studio behind several immensely popular anime properties, including Jujutsu Kaisen and the future Chainsaw Man. This season is directed by Yuiichirou Hayashi, with Jun Shishido serving as the chief director of the show. The duo was also in charge of Part 1 of the final season, alongside several other acclaimed anime such as Kakegurui and Hajime no Ippo. You can find our review of the previous episode right here.

Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2 Episode 8 Review- The Future Saviour

Latest outing by the biggest show on the (anime) block was a weird one. On the one hand, the same quality that you usually see on this show was exceedingly obvious here as well. The episode’s tone was what it should have been, and the plot also moved forward by doing all the right things. However, this was by far the weakest episode of this season. To explain why, we are going to have to veer into spoiler territory, but only a little bit.

You see, coincidences have their places in storytelling, and they can be an effective tool for a writer. However, they have their time and place, and four episodes before the end of a multi year-long saga aren’t the right places for coincidences. For an anime that has usually believed in long builds and subtle storytelling in the past, not only do coincidences feel out of place but really out of character. Mind, the ones here weren’t that big of a deal, but they were extremely noticeable here.
