New alliances form and old grudges dissolve as the Eldians and Marleyans discover a power far greater than the Titans: teamwork.
Pride and hubris are rampant in Attack on Titan right from the very first episode. Pride is a transformative force that can be a poisonous venom when it’s abused, but this episode explores the healing grace of pride and what it’s capable of when it’s properly embraced among the right people. So much of Attack on Titan’s final season has solidified the opposing forces in this war, but “Pride” continually rejects the past and emphasizes that it’s the current decisions that individuals make that determine who they really are.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 24:
- “Let’s go.”
- “To where?”
- “To save the world.”
Lingering trauma is present in each of Attack on Titan’s soldiers and Connie’s perpetual pain stems back to the transformed Titan state that his mother remains trapped in. Connie isn’t everyone’s favorite character and his plan to sacrifice Falco is reprehensible, but his desire to save his mother is something that anyone can understand. What’s so compelling about Connie’s struggle is that it becomes just as much of an opportunity for Armin to exhibit growth.
Armin still carries the weight of Erwin’s loss on his shoulders and in his eyes he’s only failed to honor his fallen comrade’s legacy. His attempt to sacrifice himself to save Falco is completely genuine and it’s another elegant occasion where the lines blur over who’s the real enemy. Armin holds himself to a high standard, but at this moment there’s no question that Erwin would be proud of him.
Fortunately, Armin’s selflessness is the catalyst for Connie’s change of heart. He laments over the person that he’s become and how his mother would be ashamed of someone who gives her a second chance at the cost of a child. He can’t help but feel that Sasha would also criticize him for his actions here and he’s left to wonder if the soldier that he’s become is someone who deserves to survive. This is a nice parallel to Armin’s own ambivalence over his existence in this moment and how he still feels indebted to Erwin.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 24 Who Was Watching from the Window?
Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 24 (aka Episode 83, “Pride”), there’s a moment when someone is seen watching Annie and the others from a window, but we’re not told who. It seems important, but it’s unclear how this will play into future episodes. Here are fans’ top theories about who the person in the window was.
Annie Saw Someone as They Were Escaping
A big scene at the end of the episode shows Pieck attacking and supposedly swallowing Jean, just before Floch can kill Onyankopon. We see Jean push Floch out the way, supposedly saving his life. It’s all a distraction so that Armin, Annie, Mikasa, Falco, Gabi, and Connie can escape with weapons and food to help their revolution against Floch’s Jaegerist regime and Eren’s Rumbling.
Some fans thought the person in the window might be Floch, since he had observed that Mikasa was missing after Pieck’s attack.
However, other fans think that Floch was not in the right location to be the person in the window.
This leads to a theory that the person in the window is Shaddis. The shape of his head certainly seems to match Shaddis.
However, the person in the window appears to be wearing a coat over a white shirt, which is in line with Floch’s (and others’) Survey Corps uniforms. The last time we saw Shaddis, he wasn’t wearing his jacket and just had on a white shirt. But it’s possible he put his jacket back on after his men left him, following his orders to pretend to join the Jaegerists.
I hope it’s Shaddis. I’m not sure how his seeing them would play out in future episodes, since he seems to not have much power to do anything at the moment. But perhaps if he sees them leaving, he will be inspired to continue fighting within too. Or maybe it will just be comforting to him to know that some of his people are still living to continue the good fight.
Attack on Titan: Levi Ackerman Is Still Set on Killing Zeke
Attack on Titan Season 4 brought back Levi Ackerman and Hange Zoë, and the pair promises to play a prominent role in the anime’s conclusion. They’re already making plans to stop the Rumbling, but Levi remains set on keeping his promise to the late Commander Erwin. He’s mentioned killing Zeke multiple times since returning to the action. Will he get the chance?
Levi Ackerman is still hellbent on killing Zeke
Levi Ackerman is in poor shape when Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 opens. And despite Hange bandaging his wounds, it’ll likely be a while before he returns to the level of strength he showcased during his last fight with the Beast Titan — if he heals completely at all.
Whatever happens, Levi remains hellbent on fulfilling his promise to Commander Erwin. He always intended to kill the Beast Titan, but Eren’s half-brother continues to slip through his fingers. The two are continuously outwitting one another, and they’ve nearly taken each other’s lives on multiple occasions.
With the anime coming to an end, Levi is more determined than ever to settle the score with Zeke. In fact, he seems more concerned with that than dealing with the Rumbling. And given everything he’s been through, his resolve makes perfect sense.
It’s probably no surprise Levi seems more focused on killing Zeke than stopping Eren. Attack on Titan has given Levi numerous reasons to seek vengeance against the Beast Titan. At this point, it’s extremely personal.
To start, Levi made a vow to Commander Erwin, and he wants to see that through. It’s no secret he and Erwin had a great deal of respect for one another. Erwin gave up his dreams to create an opening for Levi to kill Zeke. It’s only natural the captain wants to uphold his end of their deal.
Of course, Levi’s feud with Zeke goes beyond his promise to Erwin. Not only did he watch the Beast Titan kill his comrades back in season 3, but he witnessed Zeke turn his men into Pure Titans in Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 1. That devastating display was likely enough to renew Levi’s dedication to his cause. And Zeke nearly killing him probably didn’t help the matter.
That said, it seems a combination of honor and anger is driving the captain forward. Will he successfully eliminate Zeke the next time they see one another?
Will Levi Ackerman fulfill his promise in ‘Attack on Titan’ Season 4?
So, will Levi Ackerman fulfill his promise to Erwin in Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2? It’s devastating to imagine otherwise, especially knowing how important it is to him. But there are obstacles in his way most notably, the fact that Zeke is currently being held in the Paths, far out of reach from Levi and his new alliance.
Although the group will likely get close to Eren in their attempt to stop him, there’s no telling if they’ll actually run into Zeke along the way. Even if they do, will Levi get the chance to fight him with everything else going on? Knowing the captain, he’ll certainly try. Whether he succeeds this time is another story.
